Lightning Strikes @ Thunder on the Chain!

Blarney Island on the Fox Chain of Lakes
Join the Northern Illinois Drag Boat Association (NIDBA) for the first annual Saturday Race hosted by NIDBA and Blarney Island on June 29, 2024!

This special event will run Blarney-Island style... bare-knuckles, heads-up, "race-what-you-brung" drag racing. The racecourse length is approximately 800 feet and it is located on an open lake. The notoriously choppy waters have given Blarney Island racers a reputation for being both fast and fearless - do you have what it takes?

PAYOUTS

Over $5000 in payouts secured from our generous sponsors (and growing!) to be divided among 1st - 3rd place finishers in each class. Be part of the action and help grow our driver payout fund! Become a sponsor today!
